About Our Laser Platform
Elite MPX™ delivered by Cynosure is FDA and TGA approved aesthetic workstation that provides the most advanced cosmetic laser technology existing today. This workstation is designed and manufactured in USA and it features a number of patented, state-of-the-art technological advancements. It is a medical grade laser platform intended for use mainly by professional medical operators: doctors and nurses. To be qualified to use the platform, irrespective of prior medical qualifications, each therapist must successfully complete Cynosure’s theoretical and clinical laser training programs.
The Dual Wavelength System delivers laser energy in both the 1064nm (Nd:YAG) and 755nm (Alexandrite) wavelengths that can operate as separate or blended wavelengths depending on the clinical application being treated
A gold standard wavelength for hair removal on the fair skin types is 755nm Alexandrite. The combination of its high level of melanin absorption and ultimate depth of penetration makes it ideal for treating a broad range of hair types and colors.
While Alexandrite is a very effective in treating light skin patients treating dark skin tones with 755nm wavelength is dangerous due to the fact that melanin is also contained in the epidermis (upper level of the skin) as well as in the hair follicle. Treating darker skin tones with Alexandrite will cause light absorption by melanin in the skin as much as in the hair and will cause burn and blistering of the skin. In order to treat patients with darker skin tones we use 1064nm Nd:YAG gold standard laser. It has lower absorption by melanin and has much deeper penetration level then 755nm Alexandrite. The combination of these characteristics allows 1064nm Nd:YAG to bypass melanin in the skin delivering the energy to the depth of the hair follicle.
The Thermokinetic Selectivity™. Typically, Nd:YAG laser wavelength is considered to be more painful. In order to reduce discomfort during the treatment a unique and proprietary our platform utilises the principle of Thermokinetic Selectivity allowing us to dynamically blend interchangeable Alexandrite and Nd:YAG wavelengths to treat darker skin and finer hair whilst maintaining the comfort level and yet achieving the required effectiveness of the application.
The MultiPlex™ feature provides a unique option for sequential and interchangeable selection of wavelengths. Blending the wavelengths allows us to customise treatments to better meet our patients’ needs. For example adding a portion of 755nm pulse during the application of a core 1064nm pulse results in a much more comfortable hair removal procedure for darker skin tones. During vascular treatments short application of 755nm wavelength converts oxy-hemoglobin into met-hemoglobin, increasing absorption by 300-500% of 1064nm pulse in the target vessel, thus requiring less energy and delivering more comfortable and effective treatment as a result. For skin rejuvenation combining two wavelengths allows us to also stimulate collagen production and target unwanted pigment at the same time.

The Emerge produces pulses of laser energy in the form of tiny laser beams focused into the skin causing very small zones of coagulation. The “micro-columns” of coagulation is then replaced by new collagen and elastin, yielding smoother and healthier skin. Per scan, the Emerge laser delivers up to 70 individual pulses going as deep as 450 microns into the dermis while not ablating the upper layers of the epidermis.
ZimmerSmart Cool® system. Cooling is mainly used to protect the upper layer of the skin from the heat that is being delivered. Improper cooling not only will increase the pain during the treatment but it can also cause a burn or a blister. Exclusive to Cynosure Zimmer SmartCool is superior to any conventional cooling as it gets automatically activated to match precisely the state of laser application, this way providing very fast and efficient cooling exactly when it is required.
